occhio per occhio e strette di mano

The excitement of the internet has passed; That is what happens with 30 year old novelties that become necessities. If they are indeed useful they become tools in the drawer; like can openers and ice cube trays.

Once perched behind the midnight flicker offering grunts and snorts between mad clicks; people are again gathering together. Even if they are connected with a handheld digital device tucked where gentlemen once dawn a kerchief.

Those with 30 years at the keys can disconnect, and those that grew with it have taken it for granted. The dangers of the lack of face-to-face camaraderie will soon be a thing of the past. A 'blip' in our world's history.

People are worth knowing. Know people. Screen names and websites are mutable; integrity is not. Get out for some face to face time.

My Two Cents
